Bringing the Future of GPS to the Southeastern States
Leading in the use of technology and service excellence, eGPS Solutions, Inc. owns and operates a GNSS RTN covering all of Georgia and Florida and extending approximately five miles off the coastline of both states. It is the largest privately owned GNSS Real Time Network (RTN) in the United States. Originally conceived as the brainchild of ardent industry professionals with a penchant for advancing the surveying and mapping industries, it was not built as a service to accompany and promote the sales for a specific manufacturer's equipment. This has given eGPS Solutions the unique opportunity to benefit a broader spectrum of professionals.
The network is highly efficient, remarkably convenient to use and functions in both real time with Trimble Navigation, Virtual Reference Station (VRS, SBL) technology in Georgia and Geo++ GNSMART (PRS, MAC, FKP, SBL) technology in Florida. The RTN technologies utilized by the eGPS Solutions network of RTN reference stations replace conventional Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) base station methods by eliminating the need for individual, temporary base stations.
INDUSTRY PACESETTER
The company's high-precision RTN has grown steadily since the initial day it was launched in July 2004 with a system of ten reference stations across metro Atlanta and North Georgia. In 2008 the company's RTN has expanded to cover the entire states of Georgia and Florida and rivals the size of most publicly owned systems. The staff has also grown to include 3 dedicated technical staff members and a full time office manager/rental equipment specialist. Other members of the eGPS Solutions team include consultants in IT, training, survey application, marketing, and administration.
Staff members hold survey licensing in six southeastern states and has received training accreditation from Trimble Navigation, Geo++, NGS, Defense Mapping School (National Imagery and Mapping College), NAVCOM, and Ashtech Solutions. Collectively, eGPS Solutions' key staff has over 75 years of geodetic surveying experience and all have used GPS extensively, as well as other survey technologies
in their earlier careers. Their experience of GNSS survey applications ranges from DGPS mapping through geodetic control surveys. Therefore, we are often called the network built by surveyors, for surveyors.
In addition to surveying, we are experienced in RTN usage including precision agriculture, machine control for construction, and precise hydrographic surveying. We are always researching new uses of the RTN. eGPS Solutions is on the cutting edge of new positional and navigational applications.
In 2007, the company's rental services grew to include a full service rental fleet that offers Rovers, Base and Rover, Robotics, Total Station, and Auto Levels - all as complete systems or by the piece. Customers include government agencies, private survey, engineering, aerial, marine, construction, agriculture, utility, and environmental companies.
INSPIRATION AND IDEALS
RTN's were originally constructed for aiding in the application and improving accuracy for the surveying and mapping industries. Today, construction, agricultural, marine and other industries are finding ways to utilize these networks for GNSS assisted functions. eGPS Solutions is committed to help any industry take advantage of all that our GNSS RTN, and rental fleet, has to offer.
eGPS continually pursues ways to upgrade its RTN technology and service to clients, while holding fast to ideals such as vision, value, excellence, innovation, and investing in the professional development of the company's technical/support personnel.
Our IT staff constantly monitors the vast RTN software platforms and ensures that the company stays on top of the industry's rapidly evolving technology with state-of-the-art equipment and employee training. Critical company data is secured by redundant media sources to protect the company's network and other enterprise information.

"A major benefit [of the system] is [in] reducing the number [of survey monuments] and [the] effort in finding survey monuments. In the past, we could spend half of a day and as much as a few days finding adequate monumentation prior to eGPS. That's quite a bit of time savings."

"I had a voice mail this morning from one of our crew chiefs ( Jason Butler ) reporting that you stopped alongside I-285 Friday evening and helped him change a flat tire on his company truck. I really appreciate that Jeff and I know that it was not the safest location for working on a vehicle. As always – excellent customer care from 'eGPS'."

"Having the eGPS Network Access takes away the time of setting up a base station and gives you the flexibility to cover more ground faster.
Service & Support are very good, the people at eGPS are easy to talk to and can explain situations very clearly.
We had a crew that was out in the field who was sent a "Breaking News" e-blast about stations being down in Florida, They we able to change their plans without losing any time on the job."
