Norcross, Georgia based eGPS Solutions, Inc. owns and operates the largest privately owned GPS base station network in the United States. eGPS Solutions’ high-precision network has grown steadily ever since the day it was launched in July 2004 with a system of ten base stations across metro Atlanta and the North Georgia countryside. Fast forward to 2007 and the company’s network currently has 61 strategically positioned base stations that cover Georgia and the Jacksonville and Tampa areas of Florida. Today’s high-precision network has 95% of Georgia’s surveyors covered with centimeter accuracy and 100% of the state with mapping grade exactness. Since the start of the year, 13 base stations have been added in the Sunshine State with 5 base stations streaming information in and around Jacksonville and 8 in the metropolitan Tampa area. The eGPS Solutions network has expanded to rival the size of most publicly, or government, owned systems.

The initial network coverage area, concentrated in and around greater metropolitan Atlanta, now supports the next-generation GPS L2C, GPS L5 and GLONASS signals adding greater flexibility, initialization and signal tracking for positioning applications. Referred to as the “Rolls Royce of GPS infrastructure” by the director of a similar network in Australia, eGPS Solutions joins an elite group leading the industry globally into the 21st century with the next generation of geo-spatial infrastructures.
