The eGPS GNSS Real Time Network (RTN) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The RTN software packages contain advanced functions that verify data integrity on a continuous basis. Any problems within the software are mathematically detected and the eGPS staff is alerted within minutes of detection. The RTN software models Ionospheric and Tropospheric conditions, and satellite clock biases to remove their error influence from the RTK corrections. These state-of-the-art measures insure that data integrity is maintained.

eGPS GNSS RTN horizontal coordinate values of the Reference station antennas were established and are maintained through static observations and Real Time observations on NGS HARN points throughout Georgia and Florida. This has rendered a realization of NAD83 (HARN96) horizontal datum in Georgia and NAD83 (NSRS07) in Florida. Orthometric vertical values were established and are maintained through static observations and Real Time observations on NAVD-88 1st and 2nd order benchmarks throughout Georgia and Florida with the bias of the Geoid03 model.

Twelve of the eGPS GNSS RTN reference stations are included, and more have been submitted for approval, in the National Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) program operated by National Geodetic Survey (NGS) branch of NOAA. No other privately owned GNSS RTN operator contributes as much data to the GNSS users of Georgia and Florida as eGPS. The eGPS GNSS RTN also utilizes 40 CORS stations operated by the Florida DOT. Therefore, eGPS provides the "backbone" for all geodetic control in the state of Georgia and utilizes the "backbone" available in Florida.

It must be stressed that all RTNs are an integration of three distinct technologies: GNSS, internet, and cellular technology. Therefore, data reliability is contingent upon a reliable and suitable cellular carrier and handset. eGPS Solutions currently endorses the Verizon CDMA technology in Florida and Georgia because we have found that it works the best. Their service contributes to the overall data reliability of the eGPS GNSS RTN.

"Lance Andre's in-depth understanding of GPS is an asset to eGPS. His competence is essential in establishing confidence in wide area RTK Technology in Florida.
eGPS Reps are always available to helps us with competence and patience.

We had a Trimble 4700 that we wanted to use on the network, both Lance and Jeff went above and beyond to get it configured for us.

I think the Florida survey community benefits educationally from interacting with someone like Lance Andre. His presence amongst current and prospective clients in Florida will ultimately elevate the general understanding of how GPS works for Surveyors and other groups engaged in positioning disciplines.

The regular user meetings serve as a forum for many issues beyond the correction service. During these meetings users have the opportunity to openly address complaints or questions to eGPS. This facilitation by eGPS instills a sense of transparency not often encountered in similar business relationships."
