DEPARTMENTS BEHIND THE NETWORK
More than base
stations, GPS satellites and our highly visible sales team,
the network of professionals behind the eGPS Solutions network consists
of:
Technicians
Any time there is a new technology, a learning curve
follows to get users up to speed and familiar with all the operational
features. The eGPS Solutions' team of technicians is well versed
with the various manufacturers of
GPS surveying equipment and how network RTK systems operate. All
are trained surveyors, have worked in the field using conventional,
robotic, GPS and network RTK surveying methods. All eGPS Solutions
technicians
have taken professional development classes in network RTK and several
have taken manufacturers' courses.
eGPS Solutions Sales and Support
Technician, Jeff
Little, has completed training with
Trimble to become a Trimble Certified Instructor and has
led
classes at the university and community
levels.
eGPS Solutions Sales and Support Technician, Wes
Hand,
gave up his own land survey business to be a part of the impetus
to bring the latest technology to southeastern surveyors.
Collectively
the eGPS Solutions' technicians represent over 50 years of
Geodetic surveying
experience
and they
stand ready to extend their expertise to eGPS Solutions'
network subscribers.
IT Support
Connectivity. An all important word to the eGPS Solutions
IT Department. To ensure that the network operates like clockwork,
connection to the internet is a vital component. Without it,
there would not be any data to process or receive. Network connectivity
is a requisite for the internet, each base station, individual rovers
and the server. If any part goes down, system operations are hampered
or halted. Preparing these connections during base station installation
and monitoring the network keeps the
system operating flawlessly.
Another intrinsic responsibility for the eGPS Solutions'
IT Department is storing static files for subscriber accessibility
and
downloading.
Marketing The Marketing Department is responsible for the copy
writing, design, artwork and photography, and printing of all sales
literature,
brochures, ads, slide shows and the quarterly eGPS newsletter. Trade
show displays, promotional campaigns and eGPS Solutions' e-mail announcements
are also generated in this department.
Webmaster
eGPS Solutions is privileged to have both a creative
and a technical web specialist who collaborate talents to write,
design, monitor and put together both the main eGPS Solutions web
site and the restricted Users Web Site.
Administrative
Backing up the company's sales and executive
operations, administrative support
keeps copies
of
records,
contracts
and correspondences, manages accounting, arranges
the Roundtable Meetings and much more.
Martha Vaughn recently joined eGPS Solutions to run
office operations and assist with inside sales. She brings seven
years of industry experience having worked with survey equipment
distributors in both administrative and sales positions
prior to joining the company.
Martha is a valuable asset to the eGPS Solutions team and is available
during regular business hours.
